Most of you know I serve lunch at a local elementary school. Earlier this week we had a real snowy afternoon. A first grader was in class, and was trying to tell his teacher that there were reindeer outside, but the teacher just figured, oh, with Christmas and all, the children's imaginations are running wild. After much insistence though by the child, the teacher looked and there were four deer standing outside the window!
One of them had to be the same male deer that one day was startled by a train and came running up out of the weeds and was running straight for my stopped car at traffic signal by the school. Scared the pants off of me, and then it made a sharp turn and ran down the road Big buck with a huge rack of antlers. I love animals.
